Sharnette Atkinson spent 30 years supporting the United States Marine Corps. A self-driven individual, during her career she managed to rapidly work her way up from Admin to Senior Vice President of a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. For a period of time during her career she worked as a Senior Financial Analyst supporting Marine Corps Funding Managers on multiple task orders. For over 16 years she was the bookkeeper and financial officer for the small business she worked for giving her in depth knowledge of Intuit's QuickBooks Software. She was also responsible for performing all Human Resource functions within the company. She wore many hats over this 30 year career but she enjoyed the financial and bookkeeping positions the most. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems and an
Associate's Degree in Business. She has bookkeeping experience ranging from Equestrian Businesses and Real Estate Businesses
to Defense Contractors.
Personal
When Sharnette is not crunching numbers, she spends most of her time on her farm with her sheltie and two horses. She is a life long equestrian and has trained and competed successfully as an Amateur in the sport of Dressage. (Photo credit Ruth Allison)
